5 out of 5 stars This book is very helpful.   September 12, 2007

I read this book before taking the MPRE for the first time in my life. I took the Louisiana bar over 20 years ago and had not taken a bar exam since then. The book shows you how to analyze the test questions. The August 2007 exam was VERY HARD and VERY HORRIBLE!! A number of times I used the method in this book to help find the answer. It must have worked because I made a 93. High recommended, particularly for older attorneys who have not been in law school for a long time.

5 out of 5 stars Use in combination with Rigos MPRE Review   April 12, 2009

Use this book along with the on-line BarOutlines.com, Rigos MPRE Review 2008-2009, and the official MPRE released questions from their web site and you'll do fine. The March 09 exam had NO multipart questions which was a shock - I and III but not IV, etc. This book gives you tactics and plenty of real questions (Rigos gives you more difficult questions). Having not had to take an ethics exam for the first two states years ago, I went overboard to make sure I passed. I kept doing questions, making my own outlines, and reading the code. Ended up with 120 when all I needed in TX was 85. Understand how the score is scaled before beating yourself up trying to get 85% correct since that is not what they require.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent review book.   April 28, 2007

This book is quick and easy-to-read; having previously taken a professional responsibility class, it was a nice cherry on top in my exam preparation (note that I very easily passed the MPRE on my first try). I just wish it contained the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the Model Code of Judicial Conduct, the inclusion of which would have been very convenient.

    2 out of 5 stars Weak.   September 8, 2008

I'm a huge fan of Emanuel Outlines but this aid was definitely not worth the money. It's a thin little thing with not much substance. I'd suggest just reading throught the Professional Rules of Conduct and the Judicial Code and then just practicing some of the problems where ever you can get them cheapest.

2 out of 5 stars not worth it   March 11, 2010

These questions are all available on the MPRE website when you register for the exam. This book does give explanations to the questions, but other than that, it's nothing you don't already get for when you register for the exam.
